Good Vibes Only Hackathon’s Ctrl + Shift Challenge offers shortlisted projects a 20% score bonus for shipping new features under time pressure.

BNB Chain’s Good Vibes Only Hackathon has entered its final stretch with the launch of the Ctrl + Shift Challenge, an optional 24-hour sprint that rewards teams who can ship new features under pressure with a 20% bonus on their final score.

The challenge, announced January 28, gives shortlisted projects until January 29 at 15:00 UTC to implement additional functionality aligned with their chosen track. It’s a classic hackathon pressure test—can you adapt and deliver when the clock’s ticking?

What Sponsors Are Asking For

Three sponsors have introduced specific feature challenges tied to their tracks:

AEON wants teams building in the AI track to experiment with AI-native payments using their x402 facilitator. Think AI agents that can actually transact onchain, programmable payments, or autonomous economic behavior.

INFINIT is pushing the Prompt-to-DeFi angle, asking projects to build strategies using their Smart Action feature with guided parameter selection. The twist: strategies need to be saveable, shareable, and re-executable by other users.

Unibase is focused on persistence—they want mini dapps that remember things beyond a single session. User preferences, action history, evolving agent behavior based on past context. Anything that introduces genuine long-term memory.

How Winners Get Picked

The judging splits evenly between community and sponsors. Half the score comes from Snapshot voting, where vote weight depends on BNB holdings in the voter’s wallet. The other half comes from sponsor judges evaluating execution quality and track relevance.

That 20% Ctrl + Shift bonus applies after both scores combine—meaningful enough to shake up the leaderboard for teams that pull it off.

Timeline

Submissions close January 29 at 15:00 UTC. Community voting opens an hour later and runs until January 30 at 16:00 UTC, when a livestream will announce winners and showcase selected projects.

For builders already in the running, the next 24 hours are where reputations get made—or where sleep-deprived commits get pushed at 14:59 UTC.
